Green aluminum is to be used within our Griesser window shutter range with immediate effect, reducing our corporate carbon footprint by some 35%.

Griesser launches switch to green aluminum with its best-selling window shutter models

Of all the models in the Griesser product range, our window shutters use by far the most aluminum per window in their manufacture, and thus also make the biggest carbon footprint. Within our window shutter range, our wing shutters – which consist of a solid frame with largely fixed or movable slats – are particularly popular. And it’s with these best-selling products that we’ll now be using green aluminum with immediate effect.

By using this more sustainable aluminum (which is made in Europe) in selected wing shutter models, we will reduce our corporate carbon footprint by some 35%. The new green-aluminum window shutter products will be manufactured at our recently expanded state-of-the-art facility in Nenzing (Austria), where our further window shutter models are also produced.
